Asalaam Aw Alaikum wa rehmatullah hi wa barakatahu! I would like to welcome you all with the islamic greetings may Allahs peace and blessings be upon you all. We are always updating our website and as such we now have the new 2014 timetables ready for the United Kingdom major cities.
We are pleased to confirm that Ramadhan will commence on Sunday 29th June 2014 in the UK, England.
This is a beautiful month, to revive our Emaan (faith), pray to our hearts content, keep away from satanic deeds, to do righteous deeds and pray to become closer to Allah (God). Ramadhan is a month where Muslims fast (sawm-Arabic), by do many good deeds and spiritually praying more which leads to one being closer to Allah. They are also required to abstain from certain acts such any ill-natured acts/excessiveness from dawn until sunset. The philosophy behind fasting is that it cleanses the soul and increases spirituality, humbleness and endurance by focusing on Allah and focusing on one’s own actions rather being concerned with others. As well as amends for sins, faults, and mistakes. Ramadhan is a month whereby Muslims fast for the sake of Allah. It conveys an astonishing wisdom of expressive passion and religious excitement among Muslims of all ages. May Allah bless all those who fast this month, forgive their sins and accept their fasts/deeds. May Allah make it easy for them this month and may their good deeds continue even after the month of Ramadhan.
We appreciate all the support we have received from Muslims all over the UK and the world. We will continue to be one the UK's leading timetable website and giving you the latest information and our own special blend of relevant articles and opinions of what is important to us Muslims around the world.
As you all know we are in the blessed month of ramdan where we should be spending our time in ibaadah ( worship) and remembering Allah swt. Remember during ramdhaan your rewards are doubled subhanAllah. Take advantage.
So just try this month, do not read any book, pick up the quran and read translation. Do not go on searching the internet for worldly materialistic goods rather search hadithes. Do not watch tv till late night pray ur night prayers ( salah). Do not listen to thoughtless music, try listening to beautiful nasheeds or islamic lectures. Do not sit there bored on weekends try doing tasbih on your fingers. Do not go socialising rather socialise and engage with your lord in prayer. InshAllah.
Its a month of purity and we fast not just refraining from food but also from sins and things which distracts us too much from our dean (religion) and that which lowers our emaan (faith. )
This holy month is the ninth month in our Islamic calendar and is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is a requirement but there are special considerations which are given under special circumstances, such as those who are pregnant, the very young, those on importat medications, etc (note that we will be updating an article which discusses those not permitted and those not required to fast).
The observance of Sawm (fasting) is a truly spiritual time for all and is personally one of the times of the year that us here particularly look forward to, and we know we are not the only ones. It is a time when Muslims all over the UK come together and for that month we are closer as a family and as a community. Plz read this beautiful authentic hadith.
We welcome all feedback and all suggestions are taken seriously so please keep your suggestions and comments coming and we will try to answer each email if we can, Inshallah.
